Lesson objectives

  • List the main local lead sources
  • Pick two channels to start with

How local customers find providers

Most local purchases start with a need that has a deadline: a leaking pipe, a broken air conditioner, a wedding date. People search, compare a few options quickly and contact whoever looks trustworthy and easy to reach.

  • Google Business Profile and map results - often the first thing people see.
  • Organic search - service + suburb pages on your own site.
  • Paid search - ads that appear for high-intent searches.
  • Referrals and reviews - word of mouth, now largely online.
  • Directories and marketplaces - useful, but you don't own the relationship.
